Happy 26th Birthday Colin!

Twenty-six years ago this evening, well at exactly 7:24 p.m.Colin came forth into this world! It was a very warm day in Sacramento, especially for October! It was about 103 degrees when Colin was born that evening at home. He was my first home birth, though I had wanted and planned to have Sarahmae and Mesha at home too. He was a beautiful baby, weighing in at exactly 8 pounds and 20" long. He was perfect and beautiful!

Oh, how I love them!!!

There's more to come, but I just wanted to get these up in honor of my beloved son, Colin Jacob, who has turned 26 today. He is a creative, sensitive, tender-hearted young man. He is gifted musically, and in everything he sets his heart to do. I am blessed to say he is my son. I am so thankful that God chose me, though I am weak and broken, to be his mother. He is truly a gift to me.

These are just a few of the precious memories in pictures that I have to share of him. Though there were periods of really hard times, I am grateful today for the love of my son, and all my children.... for their love, kindness, compassion towards each other and others, forgiveness towards me for all my brokenness, and belief in and hope for a brighter today, and a beautiful tomorrow.

      The planting of the LORD...” Isaiah 61:3

I am a blessed woman and mother. And if the only blessing in my life was my five beloved children...if I could not paint, or sing, or dance... if I could not walk, or see, or hear... my life would still be so blessed because the God of the universe, the Creator of heaven and earth, gave me Sarahmae, Mesha, Colin, Sean & Rebekah, and then began to multiply the blessing with Josie (Mesha's wife), Krista (Colin's wife) and Colin and Krista's unborn child! (And I know there are more blessings to come!)
